does bp accept apple pay
Do any gas stations take Apple Pay at the pump?
The whole point of Apple Pay being safer is that the merchant doesn't get your card information.
Card skimming is a big problem mainly at ATMs and gas station pumps.
My bank is great enough to take contactless at our ATMs but I can't find any gas stations that take it at the pump.
Does anyone know a gasoline company that does this?

Some Shells and Exxon's that I've seen, but not yet widespread here. Far as I'm concerned swiping a card at gas stations should be a thing of the past due to the rampant skimming issues.

Agree but as we've seen, any corporation that can afford to NOT spend money on new technology will avoid it at all costs. Until NFC is mandatory across all of retail, it won't be adopted across the board

Exxon does it through their app, but it's painless and easy.

I still see about half the place I use my card at don't accept a chip let alone Apple Pay. Apple Pay availability is probably around a 10% acceptance rate where I live or at least where I shop

The Shells near me don't accept Apple Pay, but they do take Chase Pay, which is at least somewhat convenient and protects me from skimming.

This makes me wonder who takes the fall for fraudulent usage. The card company or the gas station? If the station gets their money anyway they have no reason to change.

Came here to write this. Just put your phone up to where you would pay normally (or where the card logos are). Totally not descriptive on the pump but works nonetheless.

Has this been your experience at every Sheetz? I swear not even a week ago, I tried again at the Sheetz near me, and even though the pump made a beep and light flashed on the contactless pad, nothing happened.

We found this out in a bad way. My husband's card info was stolen. Someone loaded it and used at a Sheetz.

Down here in Florida our Wawa's do. Feels good to just wave my watch over to pay for gas

Can second Wawa. One of the Wawa's near me in Virginia just updated their pumps. That being said, they have not all been updated yet.

They do up here in PA as well

Jersey here, wawa is the goat

It's not on-the-pump, but Exxon Mobile stations can take Apple Pay via their Speedpass App.
No real setup needed, just open the app, choose the pump and the app authenticates the card via Apple Pay.
I go out of my way to find an Exxon Mobile station because of this.

This. The app works great in the winter too, because you can pay completely from your car and minimize the time out in the freezing cold.

That was a life saver this morning. Thanks!
